How many guests can come on a charter?
Sea Society charters accommodate up to 6 guests plus our supplied captain.
What is the minimum charter duration?
Our minimum charter is 4 hours. We also offer 6-hour and full-day 8-hour charters. Additional hours beyond your booked duration are available at $700/hr.
What is included in every charter?
Every charter includes a Sea Society-supplied captain, champagne, shrimp cocktail platter, and a stocked cooler with waters, mixers, ice, and glassware. Full vessel access is included for all guests.
What optional add-ons are available?
Optional add-ons include lobster rolls, crab cakes, cheese platters, and caviar service. Inquire for pricing and availability.
Where do charters depart from?
All charters depart from either Gloucester or Boston Harbor. Your specific departure port will be confirmed when you book.
What destinations can we visit?
We cruise Boston Harbor, the Harbor Islands, Cape Ann, Gloucester, Provincetown, Plymouth, the South Shore, and beyond. Extended destination charters may incur additional fuel charges.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations with 7 or more days notice receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. Weather cancellations are at the captain's discretion and will be rescheduled at no charge.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Weather cancellations are determined at the captain's discretion. If the captain deems conditions unsafe, your charter will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Is gratuity included?
Captain's gratuity is not included — it is customary and appreciated.
What should we bring?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, light layers for the evening, and any personal items you'd like on board. Everything else is taken care of.
Are there any rules on board?
No smoking or vaping, no illegal drugs, no fishing, no jumping from the upper deck or hardtop, and no guests under 18 without a parent or guardian. The captain has final authority over all vessel operations.
